About me

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Political Science in the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and expect to finish my dissertation in May 2026. My teaching and research are focused on American political institutions, with a specialty in congressional politics and public policy. My dissertation studies the effects of partisan polarization on the types of information members of Congress seek for policy making.

I have experience teaching American National Government and Politics, as well as an upper-level Congressional Politics course. In addition, I have numerous semesters of experiences as a teaching assistant and recitation leader with excellent students evaluations. In 2024, I earned a Certificate in University Teaching from Syracuse University.

I hold a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from The University of Illinois at Springfield. During my master’s degree, I worked for two years at the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency where I earned firsthand experience in bureaucratic politics and policy making.
